Who: Children and Adults What it measures: Behavior, hyperactivity, attention problems, emotional symptoms. How: Filled out by parents, teachers, or self-report. Notes: One of the most famous and trusted tools for diagnosing ADHD.
🧠2. Vanderbilt Assessment Scales
Who: Mainly Children (ages 6–12), sometimes adapted for teens. What it measures: ADHD symptoms + oppositional behavior + learning problems. How: Parent and teacher questionnaires. Notes: Often used in pediatricians' offices because it's fast and effective.
🧠3. Adult ADHD Self-Report Scale (ASRS v1.1)
Who: Adults What it measures: Focus, impulsivity, organization problems. How: Self-assessment — 18 questions based on DSM-5 criteria. Notes: Developed with support from the World Health Organization (WHO).
